Hence 4evler.com was created for this Turkish client; a simple, but eye-catching one-page WordPress design.

They approached  dm³ through a recommendation, and their requirements were simple; produce a clean, professional site which is eye-catching yet clear and modern, also to cater for an expanding product portfolio with potential future expansion for an fully managed on-line store and inventory management system. It had to be end-user manageable too!

To cater for the clients management requirements we wanted to keep WordPress as the CMS system, but it was clear that a large degree of customisation would be required. We delivered several design options, and once the design was established we worked quickly to add an on-line store which would cope for their future requirements (current Turkish laws mean that on-line purchasing of alcohol is prohibited – so the initial store had to be delivered as a shop window only).

The simplest solution would have been to design a site that hosted the videos. We felt that would have been very limiting and would have also increased the server costs as video streaming is one of the most demanding disciplines.  The solution was therefore to use Youtube as the video hosting platform which not only reduced server costs but increase exposure of the unique content. The Youtube hosted videos were then embedded back on to the client’s site. A view on video increased site awareness and a view on the local site in turn boosted the Youtube performance. A win win situation.

The client had requested quotes from other developers who proposed a bespoke solution which resulted in prices in excess of £10,000, which is to be expected. At dm³ we understand when you are starting out in business you need a cost effective solution. When your business grows you can look at more custom solutions. The result was a site complete within a few weeks at a fraction of the cost previously quoted.

Established in 2009, the Bodrum Bulletin is primarily a newsletter which is emailed monthly to around 1,500 readers; the website is designed to support the newsletter by providing access to online resources.

The Y-AWG (Yalikavak Animal Welfare Group), are a small team of volunteers working for free in a village on the beautiful Bodrum peninsula in Turkey. Their main goal is to maintain and reduce the population of street animals – primarily (but not exclusively) – dogs, through a neuter, capture and release program.

They were in need of a website to act as a central location for providing information to interested parties. The site needed to be in Turkish and English, and needed to be quickly implemented, with a simple but robust design.

We were happy to take on a challenge, and the next day, a multiple language, custom HTML and CSS website was delivered to the group.

What initially started as a small project, quickly grew into a multi-page, layered website, with dual languages, email to blog capability and social media interaction. Many design companies would be put-off by such a fluid, dynamic approach from the client, but dm³ embraced the challenge and adapted the site as it matured.

Thankfully WordPress was chosen as the CMS, with customisations to a flexible template – this allowed us to mould the design to meet the requirements of the client, but at the same time allowed an easy-to-edit back end which allowed the client to maintain and add content. A win-win solution, with plenty of room to expand the design further into the future.

We presented the client with a few design options, all based on Joomla as the CMS backend, which allowed us to quickly demonstrate the flow and look of the website. Following on feedback, we tweaked and customised fonts, colours, and background images until we had the final design, which was delivered within a couple of weeks.
